Earl Rice - Mason of the Year Latham Lodge - Traveling Trophy Hamer Lodge - Lodge of the year (only lodge in the district to receive the Grand Master's Award and the Grand Master's Education Award) Wayne Lodge will be hosting a public fish fry Saturday, November 19, from 4-7pm. Come support your brothers while enjoying a nice dinner!
The Grand Lodge now has a new website for Ohio Masons: www.glohio.com
The previous website www.freemason.com will continue to be used, but it will be used to focus on attracting and informing non-Masons. Regretfully, due to the inability for Hope Lodge to fill the parts necessary for the degrees this coming Saturday, Hope Lodge has been forced to cancel their events planned for Saturday.
Acadia lodge is now having breakfasts at 8:30-10:00 on the Third Saturday of the month.
District meetings have been changed to the 2nd Monday of the month. The district meets on the months of January, March, June, and September. The following officers have been elected: President: Darrell Ball 1st VP: Sean McNeal 2nd VP: Ross Lohrber 3rd VP: TBD Tresurer: Kevin Ridgeway Secretary: Chris Moynihan (pro tem) Congratulations to you all! On Saturday, October 1, from 3-8pm, Hope Lodge will be celebrating their 165th anniversary, which will include events for Masons as well as their ladies. At 3pm the Rusty Nail degree will be conferred on everyone in attendance. For the ladies, the Delphos Canal Museum and the Museum of Postal History will both be open for tours.
Next, the MM degree will be conferred in colonial dress. For the first section, the brothers of Hope will be dressed in colonial attire. For the second section, Hope is asking for fellowcraft members from other lodges to assist. Hope is also asking for a live candidate if any lodges have one. When the degree work is finished the ladies will join us for dinner; dinner will be provided at no charge. To complete the evening the A.A.S.R Valley of Toledo will be performing the Lincoln Drama; this is open to the public. Your RSVP is requested by September 26. Hamer lodge will be hosting a More Light Night on Tuesday, June 28, at 6pm. The speaker will be Jim Classing and he will be sharing a presentation he created about the Via Dolorosa. The presentation will begin at 6 with dinner immediately afterwards. RSVPs are not needed as they will get a head count that evening and order out.
Hope and Mt Cory lodges will both be holding a More Light Night.
